June and England, it must be Weston Park! This year we were better prepared than ever before, I had my own jet to fly, the Pilot-RC FC1 2.2m powered by a mighty JetCat P130Rx, and I had travelled to the UK a couple of weeks prior for a quick weekend in order to do a few test flights and get everything setup right for the event.
We were looking forward to a less hectic Weston Park this year, thanks to having a model sorted and any others would just be a bonus. Unfortunately the weather had other plans, and it was the wettest event that I have ever been to! The park where the event is held even tried to close access to the public at one point due to the rising water!
Fortunately the high spirit of fellow modellers allowed us all to still have a laugh and enjoy the weekend, while also making the most out of the times when the weather broke and we could actually get some flying in!
